Things you do for family. The in-laws were here for Easter bless 'em. I am very lucky, they are great people although Pappy does drink the house dry. So we all over compensate by filling our glasses very full, for fear that the next time we reach for the bottle it will be empty.
Anyway I'm rambling, Pappy wanted to visit Northcote 'heavy horse' sanctuary, you know Shires and Percherons etc. We went on Monday and I was pleasantly surprised. I am not a 'horsey' person, I find them illogically intimidating for such gentle creatures. My girl was keen, so step up Mum and do your duty. The horses were gorgeous. Big and smelly but wonderful. We met the tallest horse in the UK (missed out on the world record by about half a finger or something) - He is called 'Cracker' which is appropriate. If you want to see horsey pic spam click
Why the Long Face?
Watching them all canter round the field after we had attempted to groom them was uplifting. I am glad we went.
