I think this is amzing honey - I wasn't kidding when I told you it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end this morning. It's beautiful and such a perfect portrayal of the fruitlessness of his search.

Amazing work!

Aww thanks so much my sweet *hugs* And especially for looking at it this morning so early and straight away.

I'm not so confident when it comes to SPN so it's good to run it by the expert. I cut a verse thinking I would struggle content but in retrospect perhaps I could have featured the other Angels. It would have been so angsty I might have cried .... Oh Cas.

This is fantastic. I love the original carol, and Enya's version is haunting. The black-and-white really adds to that feeling as well. I also like how you incorporated all the angels into this - Raphael, Anna, the bleeding statue ... it's got that sense that everyone's lost and waiting for an absent God that can never be found.

(I really, really miss Cas! I wanted more character resolution than they gave us.)

Thank you so much. I've loved this version since I first heard it although some of verses from the original carol would have been very apt too.

Glad the black and white worked, was looking for a sense of bleak starkness. Yes and I miss Cas too - I watch in hope of a glimmer of a flashback or something.

Oh my, that was so powerful and lyrical! Rejoice! Gaude!
And Enya! Modern renditions of carols can be so spectacular, like Annie Lennox's God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. ♥

Thank you so much!. Sometimes the modern carols get it so right. I appreciate the Annie Lennox link too as I love her and will definitely check it out.
