Chapter 5
His eyes fluttered open, adjusting themselves from the radiance of the sun’s rays passing through their room’s sheer curtains. And when he had finally woken up, the sight of Yamada greeted him just as usual.
This time though, with a smile. That’s when he remembered how different this day was. Finally, his days were of satisfaction.
“Good morning,” The little boy voiced as he yawned, planting a little kiss on the older boy’s lips.
“You seem happy,” Yamada’s tone seemed sleepy still. His fingers made their way to run throught Chinen’s cheeks, then to the strands of hair that covered his face. He twirled it with a glint of affection in his eyes.
The younger boy wrapped his arms around his neck, pulling himself close, “Why wouldn’t I be?” Their noses touched, “hmmm?”
It probably was due to the slight endearment he held. Or the sparkles in his eyes that were ones of void. Either way, he changed. Tiny changes it seemed but the thought of merely changing felt heartwarming. It had only been days but the happiness he felt equated to a lot more than that. He couldn’t be any happier.
A smirk appeared on Yamada’s lips before their lips intertwined. Him being dominating as he is shifted their positions, bodies pressing against each other. It didn’t take long before their tongues battled and the older boy’s hands traveled down his naked figure. Excitement rose between the two, their skins’ warmth seeming feverish but luck wasn’t on their side today; Chinen’s phone rang.
“R-Ryo-m-my phone-“ His lips pursed at the sensation Yamada’s lips were giving him. He was sucking his…
“Forget the phone.”
It took all of Chinen’s will to push him away, “I have to answer this,”
Yamada clicked his tongue as he answered the call, “Yes?” He positioned himself at Chinen’s back, hugging his waist and kissing his shoulders softly, “Ah, Dai-chan! I missed you! You’re coming over? Stop it Ryo-chan,” Chinen stopped the hands that were traveling southward, “No no, Ryosuke’s just being foolish” that sentence urged him to take his attention away and so he pecked his cheek, “Yes yes, I’ll see you later then, Bye bye!”
Chinen faced him with a big smile, “Dai-chan’s coming over!”
“I’ve heard.”
“What?” He sensed the coldness in his tone.
“What.”
“It was Dai-chan!”
“I know, and you chose to answer the call instead of spending time with me? Is he more important than me?”
A pause, “N-n-“
“You hesitated a bit there, didn’t you,” He pushed him down the bed, “You like him?”
He was beginning to quiver, “He’s our friend so I do.”
He pinned Chinen’s wrists as well, “That’s not what I meant.”
“I never said I liked him and please Ryosuke, you’re hurting me.”
The older boy’s grip tightened, “You never said you didn’t, too. Tell me.”
“Ryosuke, it’s hurting me! C-cut it ou-“ Aggressively, their lips crashed. His emotions took the best of his reasoning. He was supposedly a changed guy, wasn’t he? What’s with this? What’s with him? Is he keeping his hopes again?
“I’m hereeeeee!” The faint voice of Daiki ringed in his ears, more reason not to let go of the boy in his grasp.
But then, Chinen’s tears fell.
---
“Good Morning Yama-chan!” Daiki smiled as he saw the boy walk out their room. He received no word in return though, just stares; knowing Yamada, those were glares.
He was feeling the tension. Somehow there was, he didn’t know why. Yamada eyed him as he walked out and all he could do was shrink on his spot.
“Yama-chan is… CHII!”
He stopped on the door as he steadied his breathing and gasped at the sight of Chinen huddled up on the bed with nothing but a blanket on.
“Chii…” He took small steps to the boy, his arms making their way to encapsulate him.
“NO!” Chinen responded on impulse, slapping his hands away. The boy settled down though when he knew it was Daiki.
“Yuri, what happened?” He rubbed the boy’s wet cheek, the latter seemed traumatized.
“I-I.. R-ryosuke… we f-fo-fought and i-it’s all m-my fault and-“ His cries were stopped as he landed on Daiki’s chest.
“Shhh,” Daiki held him carefully, hand caressing his hair, “Tell me what happened.”
“R-ryosuke thought I liked you a-and…”
“You don’t?”
Chinen snapped his head up to face him, “Dai-chan’s like a best friend to me so-“
“I like you,” He pulled him closer to him.
“B-but…” The younger boy bowed his head.
He slowly lifted his head, “I’m going to kiss you, okay?”
He knew it was wrong. He knew how much he shouldn’t do that. But he felt his lips and it lingered there.
He didn’t have the guts to push him away.
