Characters: Mio Amakura, Kaoru Hitachiin Setting: Fairy Bedroom Time: Day 006, afternoon, while Zetsu's torturing Makoto. Summary: Mio and Kaoru bond over twinstuff~ Warnings: Possible cuteness?
The past couple of days had been draining, to say the least. Kaoru hadn’t slept well at all since he got here, which was perfectly understandable, but ever since he saw those bodies…well, he hadn’t slept at all.
With each day that passed, he could feel himself starting to disintegrate. He missed Hikaru. Kaoru never had known real loneliness before now. He and Hikaru had separated themselves from the world and locked themselves tight behind an iron gate. They were alone, but they were alone together.
He missed crawling into bed with his brother by his side, he missed the late night talks, he missed Hikaru’s laugh and how they would joke with each other until they fell asleep, he missed waking Hikaru up with a gentle nudge only to be swatted away with a grumble because it was “too early to wake up” and a pathetic sounding “Come on Kaoru~ Just five more minutes”.
This…this was a whole new kind of pain. One Kaoru never knew existed. It was constant - an ache that never went away, a feverish longing that clawed at his chest. It rendered him unable to sleep, unable to think, unwilling to eat.
And then those bodies. God. He had been so glad he hadn’t eaten anything that morning or he honestly would have thrown it up. Blood was everywhere and oh God, that smell.
However, despite it all his body was demanding attention. Kaoru had absolutely no appetite right now, but his stomach was saying otherwise. So reluctantly he had gone down to the kitchen and made himself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It wasn’t anything substantial and he didn’t plan on eating most, if any, of it, but it made him feel a little better that he was at least trying.
He stared blankly at the sandwich as he walked back towards his room. Did he really want this? His stomach was growling, but…ugh, just the thought of eating it made him feel sick.
Then, almost on cue, he made it to the bedroom and opened the door to see Mio already there. A strained smile was on his lips as he entered and closing the door behind him he held out the sandwich to her.

“Hey, are you hungry? I…really don’t want this.”
