Mewtwo had been in the library since the snows had rolled in--his view of the sky, of freedom, obscured, he had no interest in remaining in a place where he could see nothing. The powerful psychic could have cleared a space easily enough, parted the swirling snows like air or water, but had decided against it, instead turning his attentions instead to something more productive. In this case, it was learning everything in the library, poring over, assimilating all its information with inhuman speed and precision, nearly finishing some books faster than any human could read even a quarter of their contents, spending more time with others are he paused to confirm things or puzzled over something unexpected or confusing to his inexperience. Whether he was aware that these books were fiction or not was irrelevant. He was reading them all in spite of it.

The psychic, not known for his patience, was not thrilled to be interrupted and even less thrilled to be caught off-guard by it, Red's footsteps having been filtered out in his focus on what he was doing. He turned from where he was levitating to stare at the boy coldly, purple eyes piercing, judgmental, the books he had been attending to floating within easy reach. The trainer looked... poorly.

[You want a favour?] He was surprised as he was irritated--condemning, contemptuous, and sceptical.
