Rosette only arrived in time to see a very small amount of the display - she'd though she heard a voice, faintly, as she passed by from the kitchen (which finally had food again, as she'd discovered earlier and was so incredibly grateful for), through the grand room. Was there someone in the entrance room...?

Someone new, maybe.

She headed toward the room in question, a bit cautiously, unsure of who or what she was going to see -

The kid had a gun. Rosette's own was out pretty quickly, and she watched him for a minute, ready and uncertain if she should say anything, at first.

Alright. He had no information as to the layout of this structure, or the amount of enemy resistance he would encounter inside. That meant he would both have to remain as inconspicuous as possible, and eliminate any stray targets that he encountered...though he should probably interrogate a few to get some decent answers. First things first, though, he'd have to--

DANGER

It was like a bolt of fiery lightning to the back of his brain; that inevitable gut feeling he had when he was in danger, or when something big was about to happen.

He could practically feel the eyes watching him already, and it only took him a moment of discretion to decide which way to face. In an instant he had taken a sudden sharp step to the left, whirling his body around low to the ground to face the opposite direction.

His gun trained on a girl. A girl with a gun. Instincts: 1, Strange House: 0.

"Do not move or your life is forfeit."

Rosette's own instincts flared as the boy turned fully toward him, reacting possibly just as quickly as he had. Maybe not so much to his and the weapon's presence, but to the boy's movements themselves, and suddenly finding a gun aimed at her - not the most ideal situation, of course.

Her own gun was completely up in the same instant, trained on the boy in front of her as he spoke, expression serious as she listened...

And then becoming more annoyed than anything else.

"Hey," she snapped, "cool it, will ya?"

'Cool it'? Was something overheating? Clearly she was simply trying to distract him; he wouldn't let that happen. How simple did she think he was?

"You will answer my questions," he stated in a blank tone, "Do not attempt any form of resistance or I will fire." Yes, he knew she had a gun trained on him too; but to acknowledge that she was a threat verbally would allow her some additional confidence in her position. Speaking as if she didn't have a weapon at all allowed him to seem fully confident that not only would she not be able to shoot him, but that he would be able to hit her without fail.

True? Maybe, maybe not.

"First question. What is this place?"

Rosette glared fiercely at the boy in front of her. She really did not appreciate the gun to her, the demands, or the complete ignorance of her own weapon and defencive state. Her grip tightened on her firearm, just about ready to shoot him if he made any move that looked like he was going to shoot her. She'd rather not fire at some innocent human, but he obviously wasn't a civilian or defenceless - if she fired it'd be his own fault.

"Speak for yourself." she muttered, before speaking a little louder. "People listen more if you aren't threatening their lives, you know."

She answered his question, though, regardless. "It's some weird monster house, apparently." she said, still sounding obviously annoyed.

In all actuality, Sousuke really did know that this was a precarious situation. A moment of distraction would be all this girl needed to kill him, and that's why he had to focus on her almost one hundred percent right then (of course, he also had to be wary of any potential attack from another angle). His guard had to remain perfect at all times.

His eyes narrowed just slightly at her words. Her explanation offered him no information. "Elaborate on what you meant when you said 'monster house', miss." His tone, again, was expressionless.
