Zetsu heard the cursing as he came into the hall, still shaken and upset and angry himself at the phantasms snatching Saya; it had been hard enough comforting Mio as well as he could, when even he was still reeling from it.... And now he saw Lorenzo raging and punching the wall like some braindead fool. Could even hear a crack--had he broken a knuckle, for Nature's sake?

Some of his upset was changing into anger, purely at seeing the stupidity; Zetsu stalked over, grabbing Lorenzo's arm to pull him away from the wall. "What the hell do you think you're doing? Are you asking for the dogs to come?" At this point, he hardly cared if he'd be understood or not. He owed Lorenzo one, both for helping with Fiona and for keeping him alive.... It was the least he could do to relieve him of whatever ridiculousness that had him smitten by sudden idiocy. He'd seemed intelligent enough before, after all....

He had and he didn't care. It was stupid and he knew that, but right about now he wasn't letting that stop him. Likewise, he wasn't very pleased about Zetsu's intervention, either. The plant man was successful at pulling him away from the wall, although he only responded at first by trying to yank it back, not entirely appreciating the sentiment. Less so because Lorenzo had no idea what he was being told at first and it took far longer than it should have to understand him.

"No." He didn't make an effort to form words and sentences past that. It seemed like too much effort for such a pointless task.

"Stupid." Zetsu growled, hanging onto Lorenzo's arm to keep him from just pulling away and leaving. "What the hell are you trying to prove? If you break your hands, you're going to get killed because you can't fight." A moment to examine Lorenzo's hand, and he made a one-handed seal to slide a vine out of his sleeve, curling around the wrist to hold it in place, leaving both hands free to perform a quick flurry of considerably more complex seals that left his hand glowing a soft blue. He carefully straightened Lorenzo's hand out, realigning the joint properly; a tingling warmth spread through his hand soon after, repairing the break and scrapes. He held on a moment longer, letting the warm energy seek out and heal the worst of the monster-inflicted injuries, before releasing Lorenzo entirely.

Not that he was going to leave him alone just yet. No, he wanted answers.

Zetsu's grip was a little harder to ignore than his commentary. His attempts at yanking his arm back proved to be pointless, but while he hated that it certainly didn't stop him from trying. He didn't like being restrained any more than the next person, perhaps less so because he'd never been subject to many restrictions, not to mention he still wasn't sure how he felt about this man to begin with. he seemed better than most of the residents, yes, and Lorenzo might have been starting to trust him, but that stood for little at the present ( ... )

That idiot.... Zetsu didn't so much care about the attempts to pull away--he hadn't said what he was doing, after all, and he supposed Lorenzo had a right to be suspicious--, but now he was trying to just leave? Zetsu moved to block Lorenzo's path, giving him a pointed scowl. "You think I'm going to just let you leave and undo all the work I did? Stop being stubborn and answer the damned question. What is wrong with you?" He'd almost forgotten how irritating it could be to deal with mindlessly stubborn people.
