Alphonse was scared.

That much was for certain, anyway - even not being able to hear the spectres approach, he was afraid. Of the entire situation, to be honest. And then he heard the door to his cell opening.

He clutched the stuffed cat to his chest a little, almost as if he were desperate to find some kind of solace in all of this. He jumped to his feet, though, as he did this - as if he was desperate to flee, even if he knew that was probably a stupid idea. So instead he just began to back off, toward the back of his cell, gaining distance and space (if they came in, he'd have more space to get past, if necessary, then if he were trying to get out a door)...he didn't even know what was there. Those things that'd brought him, before? Probably.

He was afraid, damnit - but he tried to shift himself into a stance where he'd be able to defend himself. There was no way he was going without a fight.

The spectre that had entered his cell moved closer, approaching even as the other one filled the space in the doorway, one hand on the door itself while the other grasped the opposite frame. It silently stretched its hands out, swiftly reaching forward to sweep Al against it. After all, if he were pinned so close against it, Al wouldn't be able to struggle so much, especially if he was still clutching his cat.

Alphonse pretty instinctively let out something like a scream as he was grabbed - maybe childish instinct? - before trying to fight back, despite how useless it really was. He could try, though - he would definitely try his hardest to fight back, and to continue struggling as he was pulled closer, refusing to let them just take him. The cat was a liability and a nuisance in this case, but...the fear wouldn't let him let go, at least not yet. So for now he continued to trash and fight, trying his best.

The spectre offered no comment to the screaming, or any indication that it heard him at all. Rather, it simply pulled him into an iron-grip hug as it backed out of the cage; the other closed the door behind them, before it moved to seize Al's legs, both to help keep him from struggling too much, and to lift him off the ground entirely as they carried him out of the room.

They stopped soon after, shifting and maneuvering to handle Al more carefully. They seemed to be working to put him onto a cold metal operating table, complete with straps that would definitely be used to restrain him.

Naturally, Alphonse did struggle more, fighting and trashing and shouting in order to try and escape the tight hold around him to restrain him. He just wanted away from them, no matter what - and even if he refused to let go of the stuffed animal, he still could fight back. He thrashed, fighting even more prominent once it became clear that they were trying to lay him down on something, even attempting to twist and bite at the arms that held him. He may not have completely understood what was going on, but there was no way he was going to let them do it.
