This place had nothing familiar. Not in the sense that the things the house contained were unfamiliar, but that nothing stood out as a marker of location. The architecture was obviously not Soul Society, and now Hueco Mundo either, but it didn't really look like the buildings of the human world he'd been in either. Most of them consisted of Japanese buildings, of course, but this didn't fall into his normal range for human dwellings.

He'd relaxed slightly since nothing popped out of nowhere after the first hour, and an hour and a half later he'd sheathed it completely. This place looked harmless, and while he wasn't one to let his guard down, he also had faith in his ability to get his sword back out should anything spring out.

Renji cracked his neck absently as Keigo pointed out the kitchen, and almost on cue his stomach growled loudly. Man. He hadn't eaten since he'd been at Urahara's. Maybe this place had some booze, too.

He coughed lightly, arms crossing over his chest and he tried to sound as logical about this as possible- and not like the hungry man he was. "We're looking for a way out, so we should look at every possible room." Of course. That made sense. "And if we find any food, we should eat, in case we're here for a while." Yeah, alright, that would work, right?

Keigo gave their current location another look around before returning his gaze to Renji, especially attentive when he heard his stomach growl. Keigo blinked and decided against making a remark about it for the moment, instead giving him a nod. "A-ah.. y-yeah, that's true."

He peeked a little past Renji, trying to get a good look at the kitchen from around his bulky frame. Of course, he was too chickenshit to go further by himself and not brash enough to ask Renji to move out of the way, so he just left with a half-view of the kitchen.

"..d-doesn't.. look too bad..." He murmured, looking back over at Renji. "..A-ah, though, Abarai-fukutaicho, what .. what if the food is poisoned or something? Or just rotten?" He didn't mean to be a downer or negative of pessimistic, but in an unknown place like this, one couldn't be too sure, right? Well, Keigo didn't know, but he valued his life too much to bother being reckless.
