Alphonse's hands were cold, to be honest. They were freezing from being in the snow, and his knees felt wet and cold just the same. But he didn't care for the moment - he just wanted to stop and take a moment to enjoy himself, not really thinking about night coming soon, or the potential frost bite. He deserved just a few moments to be a kid, didn't he...? The whole thing was enough to make him think back on playing with his brother as child, and...

So he was a bit surprised when he suddenly heard a voice behind him, startling him away from his thoughts, previously fixed on the snow. It took him only a second to recognize the voice, though, and he pulled his hands away from the ground, ignoring the biting chill on them as he turned to face the older man (though his cheeks were a little red from more than just the cold, slightly embarrassed to be caught playing like this), hands out again, letting the snow fall on them. "Dad, look!" the words slipped out of his mouth right away, without thinking much, almost like he had discovered something wonderful for the first time ever, excited to share it with Lorenzo, "It's snowing."
