When the strange, almost hysterical man had chased her into her house and proceeded to try and pin her to the ground, she hadn’t expected the end result of that to be her landing in a strange house, one that was most certainly not her own. For as unusual and alerting as that fact was, it was strangely relieving. She wasn’t entirely sure what that man had planned, but she knew he had become suddenly scary. He had wanted to hurt Saya and she didn’t wish to find out how. He’d successfully pulled the sleeves of her sundress down, but that problem was easily remedied. No real harm done to her, but to him...she had broken him, hadn’t she ( ... )

As the evening wore on and darkness started creeping towards them, the house grew steadily colder, though no snow had fallen just yet. It was unpleasant, especially for a person as sensitive to cold as he was, and made his muscles and leaves ache (worse than they already were, even) if he sat still for too long. He had taken his leave from the Greenhouse to walk around a little despite his injuries, to stretch out some of the soreness and hopefully warm himself up a little. He had kept his cloak on (thankfully mended and cleaned by Mio) for warmth's sake, though he'd left it open to nearly the bottom of his chest, to better expose his leaves to the sunlight. (And because of that, unfortunately, also exposing plenty of bandages to be seen as well.) He had been about to head into the kitchen for a snack when he heard a young woman's voice calling out for someone, demanding to know if this was a joke.... And then another voice, younger but still female ( ... )

Rosette spun around when she suddenly heard someone behind her - more specifically, a voice, evidently calling to her (there was no one else in the room, after all, was there - though that rose the question as to where this new person had just come from). She had her gun up for only a moment as she looked to the the girl, before seeing it was just a child, and managing to relax for the most part - not perfectly relaxed, but a bit more, certainly. She still didn't know where she was, and it was certainly possible that there was some kind of trap involved... "Hello..." she said, a bit carefully ( ... )

Saya, by contrast, seemed content with the current situation. A gun was a good thing for a human to have, they were such frail creatures, and she didn't seem innately hostile. She looked to be as confused as Saya herself felt, which probably meant that they were on the same level. There was little chance of this woman knowing anything about her, especially to drop her gun so easily. The voice of a male caught her off guard and her smile started to give way to a more puzzled look before she caught sight of him. Her smile came back, broader and brighter than before as she did so. He had leaves, just like her! It'd been a long time since she'd seen anyone that wasn't human, let alone someone that could be thought of as a fellow kinsman ( ... )

Zetsu watched with a dry, tired look on his face, looking interestingly enough completely unsurprised and unbothered (if not a little exasperated and annoyed) by Rosette whirling and leveling the gun at him, in what looked like it would have been a fairly lethal shot, if he had obligingly stood still and allowed her to fire. He wouldn't, of course, and he didn't like the guns, but that didn't mean he hadn't been expecting a response like that. Quite the contrary, in fact--it seemed like a normal, sensible, even respectable response to him. Here this woman was, lost and confused in a strange place, with a little girl that she suddenly needed to protect, being confronted with a horrific, frightening man from nowhere who probably didn't look trustworthy, even despite his injuries and promise of knowledge. He probably wouldn't have been entirely comfortable in the situation either, though he did wish that someone could have explained things to him when he had first arrived here ( ... )
