Machi looked up, taking his fingers off the body quickly, aware that what he was doing was wrong. "I, uh--hello," he managed flatly, fudging the English a little roughly. He'd been taken off guard and didn't know this person at all. "I..." His sunglasses were over there--he couldn't reach them now. There was nothing he could do about that. Needed a room like this? Machi felt a little ill as he realised the truth of that statement. "I had not--thinking of that... that way." He hadn't at all, as a matter of fact, too absorbed in what he was seeing and experiencing for the first time.

...then again... standing in the morgue and staring down at the dead body, Machi thought of how it had looked when he'd found LeTouse lying in in the dressing room, soaking in his own blood. Then he thought of LeTouse's body here, somehow eerily cleaned up and cut open like the ones in the drawers, a sheet over the large man's form, hiding it from view.

Suddenly he felt very nauseous.

It was now that Machi realised that the room was a morgue. He'd never been in one before--never seen one, never watched documentaries or medical shows on TV. Crime dramas were out of the question. Belated though the realisation was, however, it made a twisted kind of sense. Everything made a twisted kind of sense, when it made sense here. He shut it away, looking up again and pulling the sheet back over the body quickly, his face stony and expressionless. "Who are you?" Koizumi's tone went right over Machi's head, but his presence bothered the pianist enough that it didn't matter. He didn't want anyone to know what he'd been doing down here.
