I have no witty cuttext for this entry. )
After having rested, he found himself in the mood to explore the house again. He wasn't entirely sure what he was hoping to gain-- he'd been stuck here for... he didn't even know how long it had been anymore, but at least a few months, and he knew the house quite well-- but there was always a chance that he'd find something he hadn't yet noticed. The house was, after all, enormous.
And so, he found himself in the basement of the house. Since the incident with Ciel and the doctor the previous night, Mello had not been back down there, and he found now that he rather wanted to go back. The basement had always been one of the more interesting parts of the house, as well as one that required slightly more exploration than most to begin with; if he was going to find anything he hadn't noticed before, there was a good chance that it was going to be in the basement.
It didn't take him very long to find something he hadn't ever expected to find, at least; Break was there, accompanied by a rabbit, and he appeared to be trying to construct some sort of abstract sculpture made out of step stools and ladders.
"What... the hell is going on in here?" He asked, quite unsure of what to even expect for an answer. Come to think of it, he hadn't seen Break since the previous incident in the aforementioned incident in the basement, and he was a bit curious as to what had happened afterwards. And about what the hell the deal with the stools and ladders and the rabbit-- which, Mello realized, was probably that same one he had seen in the kitchen the other night-- was.
"Are we trying to build a treehouse for our pet rabbit to live in, Xerxes? I can't figure it out." Surely the guy wasn't expecting the thing he was making to serve as an actual ladder of some sort. Not unless he was completely suicidal.
