'' Georgetown?'' Michael was surprised. ''I was in Panama - Mexico.'' The distance between the two places made it almost impossible to guess where this place was. He didn't tell the other what he was doing. Telling an FBI agent he'd just escaped another prison would be plain stupid - even in here.

''The people I mentioned - Sara and LJ, they were kidnapped and I was trying to find them. Then.... Well I don't know what happened after that. I found myself in here.''

Michael thought for a moment, then decided to show the other his plans. If Reid was going to arrest him for plotting an escape, he could do it once they were outside. If Reid knew Michael's history, he'd also know Michael was his best chance of getting out of here. It might have been illegal, but launching the first ever escape from Fox River was definately impressive.

''I thought I'd draw the blue prints to this place - from what I can see'' He explained, showing him the drawing. ''I used to work in construction, so I've got a pretty good idea. If we can map the entire building, we can map the weakest chains in security.''

He knew he was probably incriminating himself here, but he was sure Reid wanted out as much as he did.

Reid was also surprised by the distances between them at the times they went missing. He tried not to show it; he was supposed to be some kind of authority figure. At least now that Hotch and Morgan and Rossi weren't here. He was so used to playing good cop, he wasn't sure he could go out of that mode.

Reid gave a genuine look of concern at the mention of the kidnapping. "Who kidnapped them, do you know?" he drilled. This was getting worse by the minute, with two other people missing in addition to themselves. He knew he should be more concerned with the fact that he was in the room with an apparent master criminal, but he couldn't dredge up the care to be honest. It seemed feeling sorry or feeling camaraderie with criminal was just an issue of his.

"Blue prints are a great idea. I just wish I could get a view outside, maybe I could get some sort of geographical profile of the area we're in. Maybe it would help determine where exactly between Panama and Georgetown we are...." He reached into his pocket, having a sinking feeling of what he would see. He was right, no signal whatsoever on his phone. "Not that I can see how that would help right now."

He looked around the room. "Do you think we should try to see what's in the other rooms?" He debated adding the next part. "I have a second firearm in case you need to be armed...."

''It doesn't look like we need to be armed just yet.'' Michael said simply. ''Though that may change depending on what we find.

Michael listened as Reid talked about geting geagraphical profiles. ''That'd be great if you get signal.'' He said with a little optimism. A look at the outside as well as the inside would be helpful.

Then Michael came to a decision. A decision which he'd explain in simple black and white terms. ''Okay. I'm an escape artist so you don't trust me. You're a detective for the FBI, so I don't trust you. But with your detective skills, and my........ Experience. I think we need to work together if we're going to get out of here.''

He ignored the question about the kidnapping. Breaking someone out of prison for the benifit of the company wasn't something Reid needed to know. At least not until he was 100% sure Reid wasn't one of them. At the moment, Michael hadn't told Reid anything the company didn't already know, and he intended to keep it that way.

''I think we're done in here.'' He stated, standing up, looking at the drawing on his shirt. We need to do this in every room. And you need to keep trying to get signal, see if you can get a geographical profile.''

Spencer visibly relaxed. It was a very good sign, at least to him, that Scofield didn't take the gun. He did take his gun out though, and held it tightly to his side. "Keep behind me then. Just in case."

As he edged towards the door off to the side of the room, he couldn't help but go into professor mode. "It's not that I actively distrust you. And I'm a profiler, not a detective. We study human behavior and forensic sociology and such...." He threw the door open, only to point his revolver at at a bunch of fur coats. "And I can't get a good geographical profile without windows, unfortunately. Hopefully, somewhere in here has enough of a view to give a good point of reference."

Reid got a distinct feeling he wouldn't get a signal anywhere in the house. Whether this had to do with location or that whoever took them had cell phone jammers. He turned towards the only other opening and cautiously made his way in front of Scofield, hoping nothing would be waiting for them that he wasn't prepared for.

Michael nodded. A profiler, now that could be very useful. Someone who was able to think like another. If Reid could distinguish the thought process of the people responsible, and Michael could analyse the structual details of this this, they'd stand a good chance.

Of course it also meant Michael would be careful. The FBI were still trying to trace Linc, Michael's brother who'd dissapeared only because of Michael's plan. He didn't want Reid figuring out his behaviour an thought processes too much.

Michael followed as Reid headed towards the door, noting Reid had his gun handy. Michael wasn't sure he was going to need it. The people responsible for this were way to intelligent to be simply hiding around a corner. Still - they didn't know if, or who else had been captured and placed here.

''We'll need to find some paper and possibly a pen or pencil somewhere.'' Michael stated, looking at his shirt that was now almost completely covered in his drawing - much like his visible upper body was covered in his tattoo masking the blue prints to Fox River - A detail he'd certainly be keeping to himself.

Reid slung his messenger bag in front of him and flipped it open with one hand, the other still training the gun on the empty room in front of him. He dug around for a few seconds before his hand found purchase on what he was looking for. He tossed the small legal pad with a pen in the spirals at Scofield. "Don't know if it's big enough to be of any help, but that's all I got right now. Flip passed the notes."

He'd been taking notes on a case with a serial rapist in Kentucky. A sharp pang of guilt hit him: if he was here, then he'd left the rest of the team with a weak spot. And again, so soon after his disability leave. He knew he shouldn't feel so personally responsible about the victims, shouldn't feel like he'd abandoned them, but he did.

He scanned the seemingly empty room, keeping his eyes peeled at everything and hoping that if he did have to shot, his dumb luck kicked in once again and he didn't end up taking out a lamp instead.

Michael passed through the notes to an empty page. He did of course glance at names - mainly just to see if there was anything about anyone he knew. When he saw notes about a serial rapist, he instantly looked for the name - nothing about T-bag, the one man he'd happily betrayed and left in SONA. Noting there was nothing about anyone he knew - and nothing relating Reid to the company, he flipped past the notes without reading details.

''This will be fine.'' He nodded, knowing he could tear pages out and number them or something so they could be layed out in the relevant order if need be. As they entered the empty room, Michael instantly became distracted, closely examining every detail of decor, joinery, dimensions - everything about the rooms construction. He began drawing his blue print like plans, making notes on visible construction details, and making an educated guess at the none-visible details.

This room at least seemed to be clear, though after stumbling upon Scofield in the other room he wasn't 100% sure. Still, he cautiously lowered his gun to his side.

"At least this room seems safe for the time being." He looked back at Scofield taking extra care to notice every detail of the room. He wondered if the other man had a similar photographic memory to his, Scofield's being in visual instead of written cues. "Though I'm not sure how safe we are in general...."

''How safe we are is yet to be determined.'' Michael said rather matter-of-factly as he finished his sketch and notes.

''I very much doubt we're alone.'' He looked up at Reid as he spoke.

Once he decided he was finished in this room, he went out, heading towards the next when he stumbled on something strange. The stair case not leading anywhere - seeming to literelly go no where.

He stood and looked at it for a long moment. ''Now that's interesting.'' He muttered, more to himself than to Reid.

"Agreed. There has to be someone here even if we can't determine where..." He followed Scofield and looked up at the staircase as well, his mind buzzing with facts and figures.

"There have been cases of stairs leading to nowhere in real life..." he he reeled off. "The Winchester Mystery House being the most famous example. There are many examples in literature as well...Hill House from Shirley Jackson's novel....House of Leaves by Danielewski....But I've never seen it in real life."

"Whoever built this house must have a strange sense of humor." A feeling of inexplicable cold dread ran down him as he said this.

Michael nodded, he agreed it wasn't completely un heard of. But if this place had been built to trap people inside, why would they waste money on materials for something completely pointless. He wasn't convinced its only purpose was to do nothing more than confuse.

He climbed the stairs as far as was possible and closely examined the area for any signs of a concealed passage. After a good few moments, he was sure he wasn't going to find anything.

He turned to face Reid from where he stood on the stairs. ''Maybe it doesn't just lead nowhere. Maybe it just doesn't lead anywhere yet.''

Of course that would mean the place was still under construction, which was an almost crazy idea, but every possibility had to be considered.

Reid blinked and considered the implications. "But if this whole house is a trap, why would they kidnap their victims before it's finished?"

"For that matter what's the pattern at all?" he continued more to himself. "They wouldn't have organized this for only two people whoever they are, especially two people who are for the most part unrelated to each other aside from the angle of the law...."

"There have to be more people here now. If not, then there will be soon. But I definitely assume we aren't the only people trapped here at this time."

Michael nodded, he wouldn't have been at all surprised if there were other people here.

''There will be a pattern, there's always a pattern. It's just a question of finding it.''

Michael looked around, trying to make sense of this place, but it didn't make any sense. He came back down the stairs and looked up at it. He wasn't convinced it was there for no reason.

''I think we need to get onto the upper floor - if there is one. See if we can find what if anything is directly above these stairs.''

Michael was sure that was the way forward, ''Look at what we've seen so far. The enterance hall - where we met. The ceiling was marble.'' He looked directly at Reid as he spoke. ''Why marble? Why use an expensive material on a ceiling? And now this stair case?''

There was simply too much for it to be meaningless.

"Agreed. But to find the pattern we would need to find our fellow 'prisoners' as it were."

Reid loped to the door off to the side of this strange room, and peeked in. "Well I don't see any way to the second floor in here, but if we keep going we're bound to to at least run into some stairs that lead somewhere. Or run into whoever else maybe here."

The room was very sparse, more of a hallway in Reid's opinion. The ceilings were marble once again. "I don't understand why someone would make the ceiling marble either. At least not if they're using this place as some sort of elaborate cat and mouse game."

"The type of person who would do this must not only be wealthy but incredibly narcissistic. He or she cares far too much about showcases their wealth to those who are imprisoned here."

Michael nodded. ''You have a point.'' He agreed to Reids analysis of the personality of the person responsible. ''This is certainly the most luxurious prison I've ever been in.'' He added - more as a joke than anything.

He looked around the hallway - again with the marble. ''Ok..'' He stated, having decided on what he thought was the best course of action. ''If we find some stairs - ones that actually go somewhere, we head to lowest floor we can get to. Explore the place thouraghly, floor by floor.'' He suggested, figuring they could miss something if they simply wondered aimlessly.

Sepncer actually chuckled a bit. "And it is also the nicest place I've been held captive in. Great improvement over shacks and decontamination zones." He probably shouldn't have been getting so friendly with Scofield. Identifying too much with criminals was a problem of his that had brought him far too much grief over the years.

"I hate not having windows. I feel like I have no sense of direction right now. I agree though. Floor by floor is the most logical course of action right now." He eyed the door to his left and the one dead ahead. "So which way navigator?" He grinned with a slight manic edge to it.
