Setting: The dawn room
Time: Day 19, Around the time the beetles start to appear.
Summary: Oz and Mello meet under some odd circumstances and get attacked by beetles.
Warnings: Definite animal/insect abuse, a bought of insanity, nasty heat, and bugs. So many bugs.

...This kid was seriously way too cheerful, however, Mello wondered how long that would persist now that he was in this place.

" 'kay." He grinned-- again, quite insincerely-- back at Oz before taking off. He dashed down the rest of the hallway, stepping on however many beetles were too slow to get out of his way in the process, and paused only briefly to wait for Oz at the door, looking through to the next room to see where the beetles were going.

It appeared that they were all scurrying across the Grand Room, in the direction of the Greenhouse. Mello supposed it might make sense if they were heading towards there; after all, the closest thing to the outdoors in this house would make the most sense for a bunch of insects to live in. Unless they lived in the walls like termites or something...

While he was momentarily distracted in trying watching the beetles he was following up ahead, he lost track of the ones that were following him; another couple of beetles caught up to him and landed on his stomach, and he wasn't able to swat them off until after they had bitten him. He gave a short yelp before running off again.

"C'mon," he called out to Oz, "They're heading for the Greenhouse!"
