Maya let out a tremendous sigh. "It's alright. I need to calm down. My sensei taught me to always be calm, no matter what the situation. It's always easier to resolve a conflict when your head is clear." As she spoke, her brow furrowed in concentration. Sending rivulets of chi through her veins, she quickly and quietly manipulated her physical form, and shifted to her smaller, younger body.
Maya looked cautiously at the other girl, noticing her subtle movements that showed her internal struggle and thought. "Is everything alright? You look upset. Or tired." The other girl seemed to be exhausted, at least, from what Maya could see. Nevertheless, Maya grinned as she surveyed the damage caused to the chair. "I know what I did was a little flashy, but I felt like it was the only way to show my abilities."
"Nice to meet you, Marta." Maya replied, more relaxed now than ever since entering the house. "Interesting. I've experienced a few monsters in my lifetime... demonic evil, mainly. I've never seen what you'd call a "real" monster though... Can you tell me more about them? What are their weaknesses? Can they be killed?" Maya frowned, a grim expression on her face. "From many different... worlds? What exactly do you mean by worlds?"
She turned to the wall, the light casting intricate designs on its surface. "Well, I guess I'll need to find the answers then." The ambitious expression on her face told all: she was absolutely determined to figure out everything the house had to offer. "Tell me more, if you wish. But before that, I have to ask you something." She cast a nervous glance at the door, and absently rubbed her left shoulder. "Are we safe in here?"
