OH GOD I AM SO SORRY /sob [1/2] fangirls January 14 2010, 03:57:57 UTC
Had he seriously just completely ignored her existence? Well, maybe not completely, but close enough. The look on his face suggested that she wasn't supposed to be here, perhaps even that he didn't want her here, but in that case he could have just said something instead of just carrying on the conversation with whoever this woman was as though she hadn't just been talking to him. That was still pretty rude, even for Hidan.

Too rude for her to overlook, in fact. Not about to let him ignore her in favor of someone she didn't even know, she was just about to give him a piece of her mind when the two, still pretending that she didn't exist, started kissing. That in itself shouldn't have been a bad thing. In fact, were it anyone else, she probably would have found this reunion sweet and romantic, but for reasons she couldn't have explained even if the thought to do so had crossed her mind, seeing these two sucking on each other's faces leaving her more discomposed than ever.

He wasn't supposed to have a girlfriend. The reason why didn't matter. The point was that he wasn't supposed to get together with anyone before she did. She'd already decided on that. He wasn't allowed to do that, he definitely wasn't....!

She sniffled, taking a step back, feeling and probably looking as though she might start crying at any second. Her eyes were already watering. She'd always been a bit too sensitive, no matter how much she tried to hide it, both around Emil and now Hidan--after all, what girl would want someone that she she liked (or disliked, in Hidan's case) see her cry? That was just pathetic. Some part of her wanted to stay, to throw a tantrum, to try and get his attention and tell him what a jerk he was before she left, but that too would have been just as pathetic as breaking down in front of him.

The more rational part of her suggested that she retreat before things could get any worse, or before Hidan and this stupid, totally uncute girl before they moved onto something even less savory (and she was feeling second hand embarrassment just thinking about that)--and she would have done just that, had the effect this girl was having on him not caught her attention. His complexion was definitely deteriorating, becoming more of a sickly looking ashy color.

The change was perturbing enough to distract her from some of her chagrin. She involuntarily voicing her confusion. "What...?" For a few seconds more she could only stare, dumbstruck by the unnatural change. Then, the pieces finally seemed to fall into place and a sharp noise as she recognized the situation.

"Ah-"

Back home, there was an adequately named little street known as Doppelganger Street. It was rumored that one could meet their doppelganger there before disappearing, never to be heard from again. When she'd visited that place with Emil, those rumors had proven to be true. The monster would disguise itself to look like the person unfortunate enough to cross paths with it before attacking them. Likewise, this woman--this monster probably disguised herself to look as though she was someone important to whoever was unfortunate enough to meet it before killing them. And Hidan had...

He really was an idiot. He really couldn't even handle himself for a few minutes without her, could he?

She took a deep breath, closing her eyes and lowering her head once more, quickly regaining her composure as some of the stress of seeing him with a strange woman was alleviating, replaced with a mixture of relief that it probably was just him being a stupid idiot couldn't see that he was obviously just being manipulated, anger that this house would trample on something as pure and sacred as the love that a man and a woman should share and that Hidan would, and preemptive remorse for what she was about to do.
