Time: Mid-afternoon of Day 14
Summary: Alice arrives in the house

She hadn't seen this.
Slipping was simply not something a vampire did. It was clumsy and ungraceful, and Alice was surprised at herself. The floor wasn't especially slippery, so she didn't understand what had happened.
What surprised her more, though, was the sight that greeted her when she stood. It wasn't the Cullens' mansion in Forks, nor was it any place she had ever seen before -- either in person, or in her mind. Alice narrowed her golden eyes as she looked about, taking in the sight of this place. Behind her was a door; locked, of course, and all of her strength couldn't rip it off its hinges or even dent it.
"Curiouser and curiouser," she mumbled to herself. Even now, as she spread out her consciousness to see what she could see, it was odd. Everything was so fuzzy. There were other people here, wherever here was, but most paths she tried looking for ended rather abruptly at some point. Then... what could be the cause of this? She knew of only two things that could block her sight, and this couldn't have been caused by either of them.
Which made it some new force. A threat, or something else?
Though she was nervous, Alice smiled. "It should be interesting to find out," she sang softly, twirling into the Grand Room. She did love a good mystery, and it wasn't often she found one like this.
