Namine prodded the flower ever so slightly with the eraser end of the pencil, hoping to nudge it in to a more workable position. "C'mon...." she muttered, as if it might actually heed her words. The canvas in front of her held the beginnings of a sketch of the offending plant, and it was obvious that several parts had been erased and redrawn, then erased once more. Around the sketch were several other much more developed pictures of the flower's brethren, a vertiable field of them. But this one, this one.... This one refused to cooperate with her. No matter how hard she tried, the lines that formed the petals on the paper just wouldn't match up with their real world counterparts ( ... )

Slowly looking up, Rayne winced slightly as her eyes adjusted to the sudden sunlight. Another thing she had grown unaccustomed to, over the years, having not even ventured towards windows while the sun was up. Sunlight in all it's hellish glory was completely forgotten to her.

Milk white skin somehow seeming even whiter against the black of her hood, and the second hand light that illuminated her lack of pigment, she looked around the greenhouse, blinking away small spots that still flitted in her field of vision while her eyes continued to adjust. Spotting Namine after a moment, the half vampire quietly walked behind her, only her shadow and the sound of fabric along the ground giving any hint to her approach. "You're rather good when it comes to flowers too." She softly spoke, before frowning. "What happened to your arm?"

Namine let out a squeak of surprise at the noise behind her, the canvas and pencil slipping from her grasp. She hurriedly snatched the canvas back to her and plucked the pencil from the ground before turning from her spot on the ground... and dropping them all over again. "R...Rayne!" she cried, the relieved smile that suddenly shot across her lips evident in her voice as well. She lept to her feet, then paused, momentarily sheepish. She'd stood with the intention of... what? She wasn't quite sure. Nevertheless, she stared up at the woman with wide eyes, seeking her face under the hood to confirm that it really was her.

"It is you...!" she blurted out, blushing a little as she realized how silly that sounded. Of course it was her. The outfit change puzzled the girl, and she glanced at the cloak with a slightly raised brow, but shook the though from her mind with a little toss of her head. "I d-don't know about the flowers, but..." She trailed off, then turned to the other question, shifting awkwardly. One hand reached ( ... )

Giving a small, and oddly gentle laugh as she knelt to retrieve the dropped items, she wiped the dust and dirt from them as gently as she could, not wanting to smear anything important. "Who else would it be?" She asked as she handed the canvas and pencil out to the younger girl as she stood again, the lower edges of her cloak slightly dusted with dirt.

Lips pursing slightly in thought, Rayne reached out to gently turn Namine's arm, eying the bruise. "Considering how dark it can become inside, it is a simple mistake, I'm sure." She commented, her own version of reassurance. "It should be healed soon, as well. So, certainly no harm done."

Namine accepted the items mutely, but with a smile of thanks. The girl tensed a little at the touch, entirely unused to physical contact, but did not move away. She stood patiently as Rayne took a look at the bruise. She kept her lips sealed as the woman said that it could be a mistake -- it was, but one with slightly unusual circumstances. "...Right. No harm done." she echoed, smiling vaguely. And then....

"...Where have you been?" The words left her mouth suddenly, before she was really sure she was not overstepping any boundaries by speaking them. She sucked in her breath, biting at her lip a little.
