Characters: Mio Amakura, Rena Ryuugu Setting: 1st Floor West Hallway Time: After the Lanternkeeper is dragged off Summary: Mio meets Rena in the hallway! o/; Warnings: FailOP? idk.
Mio jumped a little, rather suddenly snapped out of her thoughts by the sound of someone calling out to her, bringing her camera a little closer to her chest as she looked over her shoulder to see a girl behind her. One of the remaining residents, who hadn't disappeared, who hadn't be turned into a monster or a ghost. She did an about face, taking one hand off the camera to offer a bit of a half-hearted wave and calling back to her a little meekly, "Hello..." She took one hand off of her camera as she gave her own greeting, offering a bit of a half-hearted wave, doing doing her best to keep the thought of what she'd just been told out of her mind. After all, if she didn't think about it, if she just didn't think about it and she didn't believe it and she kept telling herself that it wasn't true then maybe it wouldn't be so. If she just kept focusing on finding the letters, then at the very least she might be able to help that woman.
She kept telling herself that, but staying focused on any one thing was hard, and even as she ran her eyes over the girl she found herself thinking more on her missing friend than the person she was looking at. She only caught enough to determine that the girl was around Mio's own age and...it looked like she was holding something behind her. From where she was standing, Mio couldn't easily tell what the girl might have been holding, but she didn't think much of it. It just...didn't seem important.
