He'd gone into the room, gently looking over the old books within to see if there was some way out of there...maybe a secret passage, or...or...

And there had been a feeling of lost time. A lot of it. It felt like years, literally. The feeling was so unsettling that he finally just dropped the crumbling book he was reading and ran for the door. As soon as he stepped out, the feeling lifted, making him sigh in relief. Creepy. Creepy and just...wrong. What the hell was going on around here?

Ed glanced up to see the girl in the red shirt from earlier...from breakfast. What was her name again? Mia? ...no. Mio.

"Hey, Mio. Find anything...?"

"Hi, Ed. I wish I could say I had.." She tapped on the door of the bedroom she'd came out of, "Just a really filthy room...how about you?"

She thought he had seemed a tad distressed when she first caught sight of him, had something happened where he'd come from? She decided that if it were so, it'd be best to let him tell her about it in his own time. Not that she was entirely sure, she could easily have been readying him wrong.

The rooms on this floor seemed rather odd, though. It puzzled her that they should be built the way they were, especially when compared to the rest of the house, which looked to be on the rich and fancy side of the spectrum.

"Just...everything in here is falling apart. Like it's been left for a while. Makes you feel like you're losing a lot of time." He shook his head. "I don't know why I'm not even questioning a lot of what's going on here. But I think it's because I just don't care. The only thing I want is a way out."

He looked around the blank walls. So simple and even disheveled, where the rest of the building was opulent... "I think these must be servants' quarters. Kind of stupid to build it when the only servants around here are ghosts."

Ed stopped suddenly. Why was he talking so much to her, of all people? They had only met a few hours ago... But it was better than being alone. If anything, he never wanted to be alone. And she was the kindest person he'd met here aside from Ikari, and Ikari didn't talk much.

So, hesitantly, he continued. "So...how long have you been here?"

Mio frowned, that sounded rather strange, if not a bit alarming. Then again, this whole area seemed to be strange. She would have to check out that room later, if only briefly. "If you don't care about what's going on here, though, it might make finding an exit harder," she said, hoping it wouldn't offend. That seemed to be the truth of the matter, though, finding an exit to All God's Village had been painful. It turned out to be one that her sister was taken before she could, at that.

She chuckled in response, "Perhaps they don't know that? But it being a servants' quarters would explain the disrepair."

"Not very long, since just last night, actually...how about you?" Mio herself wondered why Ed had approached her, but had no complaints in regards to it. She appreciated the company, she never would get used to the feeling of being without her twin.
