Characters: Alphonse, Lorenzo, Lonely Boy
Setting: Starting in the Corner Bedroom, moving into the Crooked Bedroom
Time: Night 012, early on (before the questions stuff)
Summary: Alphonse very nearly gets himself in trouble, Lorenzo comes to help
Warnings: Screaming.

It was night - Alphonse had a bad feeling about it in general, but night was never good here. It was dangerous and... well, Alphonse certainly didn't want to get himself into trouble. He could handle himself, but it was better to avoid the danger in the first place. So his room was, naturally, one of the first thoughts to come to him. It may not be perfect, no, but his room usually provided at least some safety, anyway. It was at least better than nothing, he thought. It was safer than just staying out in the open with no idea what to expect from any of this.

What he hadn't expect, though, was for there to be someone in his room - a monster or something wouldn't have been surprising, admittedly, but... this was a little boy. He looked incredibly lonely, staring up at him like that. He looked familiar, too, but that didn't cross Alphonse's mind for more than a second or two, before the little boy took a careful step forward. He looked scared, and Alphonse felt bad for him.

"Are you okay?" he asked, quietly, only to receive nothing but silence in return. But Alphonse didn't worry about the eerie silence - this boy just looked... so alone and frightened. He couldn't just leave him here; it'd be fine just to go to him. The both of them could stay safe in the room - after all, it didn't look like there was anything else to worry about in there. And this way they both would be safe, right?

Alphonse stepped further into the room, toward the little boy, and closing the door behind him. He didn't realise that his complete lack of suspicion was, in part, due to the influence of the boy. How could he? "It's okay..." he said, and moved in, before ducking down, and giving him a hug that he seemed to be asking for. He smiled a little bit, trying to comfort the small boy (he was around Fletcher's age, he noticed). It was after only a minute that the boy was instead holding his hand, though, trying to lead him out of the room. Alphonse opened the door for him, even - it was dangerous out there, but that was hardly even coming to mind, now. The boy was leading him out, and Alphonse was definitely not going to leave his side any time soon.

They stepped out into the hall.
