And, amongst the sounds of construction, he didn't hear the sounds of the faucet on the other side of the door. So he opened it and stopped, regarding the boy in the room with a detached sense of interest--he didn't appear to be a monster, but looks could be deceiving.
Aside from that, the dolls in this room were rather pleasing. Perhaps he would look at them later.

He gasped as the reflection in the mirror revealed the door to be open, turning to confront whatever might have entered. Well...it wasn't a shadow creature, at least. At least it looked human. He swallowed, his throat suddenly dry.
"A-are you...I mean...you're not one of...those things. Right?"

He was an entirely different kind of horror; but he was art, and that was what mattered. He continued to study the boy, making no attempt to hide it. Shaking, a bit. The monsters must have scared him. But he wasn't dead, so that spoke for some defensive skill. Or maybe just luck.
"Did you just arrive?"

He drew a deep breath, nodding in reply. "What the hell is this place...? One minute I'm on the staircase, the next there's...who knows what trying to drag me under the furniture."

"It appears to be a mansion," Sasori said. "We were all brought here the same way." He did not want to admit to being trapped by the design of someone else, so he left that bit out. "As for the monsters, they arrived with nightfall."

This whole thing seemed like someone's sick joke. But this was hardly the time or place to wonder why or how this had happened. Not when there were...things outside.
"...none of this makes any sense. But..." He sighed. "Do you want to shut the door? It's not safe standing with your back to a room full of monsters, you know."
