Characters: Machi Tobaye, Jonouchi Katsuya, others? Setting: Grand Room Time: Night 8, early Summary: Machi plays the piano in the dark, Jono joins him Warnings: Possible monsters, fail OP
Having left Sekai-chan, Sanji wandered into the room adjacent into the entrance room - it was really dark, and he could barely tell what was going on as soon as he stepped into the room. Still, he could hear . . .
Piano music. It probably wasn't him, but on the off change it WAS their crew's musician . . . well, the skeleton was better than nobody (although nobody was better than that stupid, shitty swordsman).
Jonouchi, like Machi, found the night to be uncomfortably silent. The monsters he was used to dealing with in the upstairs hallway were nowhere to be found, and though the sounds of a storm outside lent some atmosphere, the construction was suspiciously absent. If it weren't for the near total darkness, the duelist wouldn't be sure it was the night at all. With his knife in hand, he slowly navigated the hallway, taking his time and doing his best without much light to guide him. With such limited visibility, he didn't want to chance someone or something getting the drop on him

No, it was not Brook. The pianist didn't even know a Brook--he didn't even recognise it as a name. Machi kept playing, ignoring the stranger behind him entirely, although it made him extremely uncomfortable to have an unknown person behind him and the hairs stood up on the back of his neck. He didn't so much as miss a note, however, even when suddenly a second set of footsteps and a second voice--one that he at least recognised. Machi was getting exceedingly tired of the constant, inevitable interruptions that came when he played in this room, but he was surprised--pleasantly so--to hear the voice he knew tell the voice he didn't to shut up. He didn't have a lot of positive things on his mental scoreboard for Jono, but the one thing he could say--and the one thing that really mattered--was that he had respect for music... or at least manner regarding them.
The same could not be said for the unknown person he felt was practically looming behind him.
Sanji shrugged - nothing of interest here. Sighing, he tried to find his way out of the room. It's not like Brook was the only person alive - er, maybe that wasn't a good way to describe the skeletal musician - who could play piano. And since Sekai-chan said there were others here, it was stupid to ask. Lots of people could play the piano.
Maybe he just missed that afro'd freak of nature.
"Sorry to bother you," he muttered, finding an exit into another room.
((OOC: Sanji's left the room so don't worry about waiting for me to comment))
The blond looked in the direction the voice and footsteps went and shrugged - if he didn't want to stick around, that was just his loss. It still wasn't the sort of music he would've listened to back home, but it was a good performance. Unwilling to stumble around for a chair to sit in, Jonouchi simply plopped himself down on the floor, sprawling out a bit and making himself comfortable. If the kid was crazy to sit down and start jamming on a piano at night, then he was just as crazy for sitting there to listen to it. He did reckless stupid things back home, so why not here? He'd get some enjoyment out of the deal at least.

"Brook?" he called out. "Oi, Brook, is that you?"
