Alphonse was still tucked into himself, gripping at himself in the pain, letting out little whimpers as he all but shook where he lay. He could feel it tearing out, now, there was really no question, any more, as to what, exactly, that thing was...
He stiffened as he suddenly recognised that there was a scent near the door. Possibly had been there for a while now, but he couldn't know for sure. He thought he recognised it, too, but he couldn't bring himself to focus enough to figure out who it might have been...
"Wh-who's there?" he asked, voice shaking a little bit, somewhat feverish. He still tried to be composed, but...
Alphonse did relax, somewhat, once he heard the small voice speaking, recognising it, and realising that he recognised the smell, too. This was the boy that had introduced himself as...him, when he met Lorenzo and himself. The one who'd gone running, afterwards. He had no real way of knowing, but the boy seemed okay, too.
He tried to relax further, tried not to look too bad, for the other boy, who sounded a lot younger...
"H-hey there." he tried, weakly, before letting out another soft whimper.
Alphonse wanted to answer; he really did. But he didn't know how. He let out another sharp, animalistic whine, as the pain pieced in his abdomin again, the bug - that was it, there was no doubt about it - boring its way into him, making him feel like he was going to tear open. The pain was blinding, and he just wanted it to end already.
"I-it hurts." he whimpered, simply enough, unsure of how else to explain it, in all honesty. Why couldn't it just be over...?
Alphonse shied away again, when the sound and scent got much closer; he didn't want to frighten this other boy, and he was afraid of accidentally hurting him, in some way or another.
"A-around my stomach." he answered, though. He wasn't going to protest to anything like an offer of help. He didn't know about the second question, though - he knew of people that had medicines and things, but he wasn't so sure about people who were actual doctors... "I-I don't think I've met any." he answered, honestly again, before wincing and whimpering more.
Alphonse nodded a little bit. He knew that much was right, at least. If he could just get to the bed, lie down...that was a good first step. The other boy was right. "O-okay..." he agreed, starting to pull himself up. As carefully as he could, the joints in his legs buckling at more than one point, before he tried to move himself into a better position.
"I-I think it's almost through..." he whimpered, somewhat to himself. He was positive that's what it was, at this point.
