Characters: Mio Amakura, Haruhi Fujioka
Setting: Projector Room
Time: Day 007, mid-afternoon
Summary: Mio gives the locked door another look and meets Haruhi.
Warnings: None.

Given the rather sudden appearance of the spirit crystals earlier and knowing the way that notes had previously changed and the way things had often suddenly appeared in All God's Village, Mio found herself giving the secondary house another look, searching more thoroughly and inspecting rooms that she had previously overlooked. She hadn't found anything new, but the sight that had greeted her in the bathroom had been...unnerving, to say the least. She'd purposely avoided looking at it during her search with Zetsu, afraid of what she might see, but alone she'd managed to let the image in the corner of her eye grasp her attention.

Even now she was mentally scolding herself for the way she'd turned around so readily, saying her sister's name aloud only to find that Mayu was not there. In spite of her earlier resolve, she couldn't remember the pain of separation being this strong in quite some time, shaking her earlier judgment and adding to her uncertainty and list of questions. She missed her sister. It hurt to have been away from her for so long - up until she'd had the dimmest hope (and the all too powerful dread) that Mayu was here she hadn't realized it, either. She wanted to see Mayu again, but she didn't want her here. She didn't know what she wanted past that - to go home? To abandon Zetsu? She didn't want that, either. She didn't want to be separated from him, but she hadn't made any decisions past that.

She did know that she really wanted company at that moment, but Zetsu was still sleeping and she wasn't sure who else to approach. She didn't want to bother anyone...so she'd settled for continuing her search. In the end she'd found herself back in the projector room, turning on the projector itself to provide a certain amount of light. This room, the radio, the projector were all so...eerily familiar. Everything was far more well cared for than anything in the village had ever been, but she remembered Dr. Asou's creations quite well. She almost wished she still had her film reels with her, just to see if it would work.

As it was she settled for trying the locked door again, determining that there was still no way to open it, nor any padlock or anything else that might hint at how to do so. Mio let out a slight sigh - that meant more waiting, of course - before finally giving her attention to the radio again. So much like her Spirit Radio...though her own wasn't equipped to play the crystals that were found here. Even with fine tuning the best it could offer her beyond the static were the faintest of whispers. Functional, but obviously not using the right equipment. She didn't really give it much thought, either, as she slid the Lapis into the compartment in back, doing a little fine tuning and once again listening to the high, melodic voice of the frozen woman.

"Why did I get sent here? I didn't--what--What did I do wrong?"
