Awright. Ambien rocks. I slept for a full 8 hours last night on the couch, woke up without feeling groggy, and felt so good that I snagged another hour or two of sleep in bed. So -- big shout out to Ambien. Thank you, you wonder of modern medicine.
In less positive news, after I got to work today, I ended up feeling really awful -- chills, sweats, feeling faint. I had to call
mckennl to come pick me up earlier than planned. She poured me into bed once she got me home and I slept like a rock for 2.5 hours while she ran around being Super Housewife and doing all of the shopping that she didn't have scheduled until tomorrow. And that was after dealing with 2 fence estimating guys, one of whom insisted on writing up his estimate on an actual table. Yo, dude, you lost that sale when you insisted on coming in our house rather than roughing it in the backyard.
Tonight, I'm going to try sleeping in bed for the first time in quite a while. While sleeping on the couch has advantages in terms of arm comfort, it doesn't have it nailed for true relaxation and rest. I'll keep y'all posted.
