The rain poured down easily in the alley. Dividing slowly through cracks that separated cobblestoned walkways; only to be reunited later on lower grounds.

The Doctor peered into a shop window, vaguely catching his reflection spotted in red raindrops. The night was calm, but still he clutched the wooden handle of his umbrella in anticipation of that one sudden gust of wind.

Through the glass, the distinct outline of a measuring scale was initially obvious. Followed quickly by neatly rowed jars, a mortar, and some sort of glass twisty turny thing. It was a Pharmacy.

"Perfect," he muttered under his breath, not wanting to surrender it to the choking smell of blood, "and not entirely helpful." He sighed regrettably and turned onto his back to lean against a dry bit of brick conveniently protected by a generous awning. He watched the sky, that same sky as always. Watched as the sickening clouds pulled back; giving way to a patchy crystal blue sky.

The Doctor smiled widely, and pushed off the wall. He began to collapse his umbrella, stepping out backwards into the street when the sky opened up for a second time. More rain. Real rain. Brilliant clear new rain. He dropped the umbrella to his side and laughed.
