Seussical went really well.
I SANG. I actually sang...songs meant for a first soprano...in front of people...WTF, lol.
I'm proud of myself. I'm not a great singer...but I'm slowly getting better.
I wish I could magically take a pill that would allow me to be an amazing belter.
After spending 4 years doing high school theater, my confidence (in my singing) has gone down A LOT but I think it's starting to build up again. I hate walking into auditions feeling like I suck. I know the directors can sense it even if I cover it up.
The summer theater shows are Les Miserables and Little Shop of Horrors.
Fantine has been my one and only dream role since I was about 10.
I could sing the songs but I can't belt them.
I want to go for it...but at the same time I'm a bit frightened.
Her songs are absolutely beautiful...if I don't go for it now, how long will I have to wait for the chance again?
Heather (my voice teacher) is AMAZING and I'm so glad I found her...I hope we pick a good audition song together.
