temporary reopening

Having convinced myself that I no longer have the inclination to write, I've been silent for a while. Anyway, I sat down to write for the first time in a long while, and managed to come up with something.

I'll post this, and anything else I can come up with, in 
due_on_sunday.  I've been working on getting some webspace, so this is kind of a temporary measure for me until I can move to a new home.
