Chicago

I had all of these great pictures taken on my phone and had uploaded them over the course of the evening and found that only the first one actually posted. Sad days.

Anyhow, my stay in Chicago is finally at an end. I spent far too much time both going through the excitement of VAR training. Whats a VAR? Don't ask, please. I'm still trying to readjust to not being in meetings for 8-10 hours a day. On Thursday we did get taken out by our District Manager who is quite cool. We hit Giordanos for some dinner, some bar, some other bar, yet another bar, the Navy Pier(and a bar on the Navy Pier), one last bar, and then Ditka's. Ditka's was actually pretty good for a sports related type place. There was a guy doing a pretty good set of Frank Sinatra songs, and since Cigar smoke was everywhere I couldn't help getting myself a Glenlivet to go along with it. Also, they have a pretty good local brew called something like "CRAZY MIKE DITKA'S WACKY BREW" or something equally silly. It is however, still a good beer.

I ended up rooming with Jason(the Business consultant that I work hand in hand with) and he snored a bit. He also snored loudly. :/

We're having just a small number of folk over this afternoon for a sort of ad hoc housewarming. I wanted to do something outside but weather is just not permitting. Afterwards I'm hitting The Lounge(no idea, never been there, it's in Minneapolis) for the annual Geek Squad fall party. Apparently Robert Stephens was once very close friends with the owner of The Lounge and we've been having annual parties there ever since. They are supposed to be "the stuff of legends" from what I've been told.

Should be interesting.

Bzzzzzzzzz.... CIAO!
