kanazawa

I:m staying in Kanazawa in a really hip neighboorhood with lots of shopping, night, life and young people. Right now I:m at a huge internet/gaming cafe, apparently I become a member here although I:m never sure about anything, a lot of the time people talk at me and I nod my head and respond with mumbling the ends of syllables from the expressions I sort of remember. Prior to coming here we were in a very quite village in the Japanese alps staying at an Onsen. The host of the inn was extremely friendly and accomdating, he even drove us to the wild monkey park where wild snow monkeys bath in the hot springs. Personally I thought the monkey park was a little weird and the monkeys were kind of creepy, but I saw a land crab in the forest. The train ride to the coast was really beautiful, lots of farmland, mountains, and austere villages. There are cicadas here called Semis and they sound like they are always laughing. Last night we went to a fire works festival, today the plan is to go to some of the museums, the geisha district, and the market etc. I really like Japan.
