Some Ireland related news:
My room, the college, and the city are all very attractive. I've been walking as much as the leg brace will allow (I'm not sure I mentioned this here - I twisted my ankle again a few weeks ago and had to tell a horrified doctor that I've been doing this regularly since 1999 and only resting it till the swelling went down/it stopped hurting. Horrified doctor gave me a brace to strap on whenever I walk. He then suggested that I walk lots so I lose weight. I thought this was rather assholish, considering that his concern is supposed to be my ankle. Anyway, I've been wearing it since, and it's severely restricted the kinds of shoes I can wear.

I met stellanova (who is lovely!) yesterday for lunch. It was an excellent lunch, and conversation covered such important topics as Irish divorce law, abortion, GO literature and the possible Indian parentage of Juliet Carrick. It was all going really well until some arsehole stole stellanova's bag. May a cat eat this bag thief, and may the devil eat the cat.
Also, for those of you who don't already know this, I started a mailing list (sadly titled I am a Lazy Useless Heffalump) for people who wish to receive news of my adventures in Dublin. If any of you would like to be on it, comment with an email address and I will send you an invite.
