Further proof of lack of restraint

In my last post but one I made a list of books bought in Bangalore so far. I'm not sure if I mentioned that the parents had told me to be careful about buying books. This was due to my excesses in Calcutta and probably justified.

But since then, trips to Blossom's and the Oxford bookstore have occurred. So here is further loot:

The Djinn in the Nightingale's Eye, The Virgin in the Garden, and Elementals by A.S. Byatt
To the Hermitage and Rates of Exchange and Why Come to Slaka? by Malcolm Bradbury (only the first is for me. the others will live here with Aadisht)
A Place of Greater Safety by Hilary Mantel
Sea Kings of Mars and Otherworldly Stories by Leigh Brackett
The Search For the Perfect Language by Umberto Eco
Sweet Desserts by Lucy Ellmann (I loved Varying Degrees of Hopelessness)
The Worm Ouroboros by E.R Eddison (slightly embarrassed about never having read this)
More Than Human by Theodore Sturgeon
The Dream of a Beast by Neil Jordan (I read this years ago)
The Fairies in Tradition and Literature by Katherine Briggs
Shadowdance by Angela Carter (it is purely silly for me not to own anything by her)
Dangerous Liaisons by Choderlos De Laclos (Aadisht bought this for me after my unsuccessful hunt for an etext of it in English)

Aadisht reminds me that we haven't visited Premier (where he has gift vouchers) yet. He looks nervous.
He has also shaved off the excellent beard. My sadface, let me show you it.
