End of vacation recap

So it's been a really good vacation. I haven't had a really good vacation in... well years. Spent the first three days in Atlanta attending my first Dragon*Con. That was a lot of fun. Note to self: Next time bring people that share your interests... it'll be more fun that way. I got to see lots of actors and actresses that I love. Didn't get any autographs or even talk to them. I'm not really into the autograph thing. And while talking to some of them one to one would have been AWESOME, they were all surrounded by mobs of people anyway. Some of the ones I'd love to have chatted with are: Mary McDonnell, Michael Trucco, Aaron Douglas (though I didn't get to see him sadly), Virginia Hey, Ben Browder (mostly cause I wanna jump his bones, and sadly didn't get to see him either), Claudia Black (didn't get to see her). Obviously it would have been nice to chat with Shatner, Stewart and Nimoy... but... yeah. I'm sure THEY would have time for me. lmao.

Anyway... The robotics thing was like six ways of awesomeness. I'm chomping at the bit to get my own Vex kit so that I can start playing on my own. (I'm currently winnign a bid on e-bay for one!) I've always been into the robot thing and I think this would just be all kinds of fun for me. I'm looking forward to learning about both sides of the field, the mechanical and the software.

The rest of the week I spent time alternating from WoW (which, sadly to say, I'm becoming bored with) and beta testing the new MMORPG Aion. Aion is really cool, I'm liking it a lot because it's new and different yet builds on the same principles as other MMORPGs so the learning curve isn't that bad. Really looking forward to playing this game when it releases next week.

The last couple of days I haven't really done much other than sit on my ass and watch Discovery/Green Planet/National Geographic channel. I just can't get enough of those programs... Guess I'm going through a knowledge-sponge phase or something.

So tomorrow I go back to work. Really not looking forward to tomorrow because I'm sure I'll be spending most of the day playing catch up. Yay! lol

So yeah... good vacation.
