[Oh, believe her, kid. Amelia would love to be able to communicate, but words just aren't happening. Thankfully the girl isn't trying to treat her like a rubber ball though, and on request, Amelia makes the purring sound. Dignity or not, getting thrown on the ground would hurt.]

[...Right, gravity's still in effect, isn't it? Amelia finally gives up the effort, falling as limp as a dust mop can in the girl's arms.

She is a cute kid, outside from her eagerness to hug strange balls of hair lying in the road. And, well, tea parties--Amelia can remember having those with her mom when she had been this girl's age. That puts an unpleasant thought in her head, though. With the way the Malnosso just take people, does this girl even have a parent here?

Yeah, okay. When she thinks about it that way, Amelia doesn't mind suffering through a tea party. Much.]
