[For someone who had never seen rain before she came to Luceti, the frozen white version of it falling from the sky is even more astounding. She wants to ask Vash about it, but the gunman still hasn't woken from his Malnosso-caused slumber, which is why she turns to the journals. It's not so much because she wants to know right away, though. ( Read more... )

[Robin is wandering in the snow, throwing it between her hands when she spots the strange lady in the distance. She ducks behind a tree just in case but if you're sharp eyed, you may spot several eyes sprouting out of various places to track your progress.]

[Lucky that Amelia is pretty observant; it comes with the territory of being a bounty hunter. Not to mention that eyes appearing out of the blue? Doesn't really qualify as "normal" in Amelia's world.

So she'll stop walking, and turn to look at a pair of those eyes. Weird.]

Something I can help you with?

[She's been spotted! Sort of. The eyes disappear in a burst of petals]

No...I'm just...watching. [She peers out from behind a tree and watches you curious but seems a little tense.]

[Definitely magic, but the girl that replies sounds young. Amelia looks toward the where the voice came from once the eyes disappear, just catching a glimpse of a kid peeking out at her.]

...Yeah? Doubt I'll do anything interesting.

[Kids that young shouldn't be left alone though, so Amelia turns to face the girl.] Anything in particular you're hoping to see?

No...I'm just curious. [She's a little nervous at being spotted but this woman doesn't seem particularly threatening.]

Are you new here?

Not really. I've been here for over half a year. What about you?

[Amelia is doing her best to not make the girl any more nervous.] It'd be easier to talk if you came out. [She wraps her arms around her waist. Just standing there isn't doing much for how cold she is.]

[She frowns at that. There have got to be New Feathers somewhere. Where are they all? Robin hesitates a moment and does come out, leaning against the tree and still able to climb it if she needs to even though it's not very big.]

I was born here. [She's sort of new and sort of isn't.]

[Amelia misses the kid's disappointment in favor of her own surprise.] Born here? [She remembers when she thought that about herself along with other unpleasant things, but that had only been an experiment, right?]

I don't think that's right. Everyone here is supposed to be from different worlds.

I was. But I was reborn so that I could be happy. So now that I'm really from Luceti I don't have to worry about anything.

[She smiles a little because she likes Luceti. She really does. There are so many new people and its...nice. She doesn't have to worry and can be happy.]

[Wow. Amelia really doesn't know where to begin at first. The girl had probably been taken by the Malnosso, but she didn't seem to mind--which made Amelia wonder just how bad off she'd been before, to be so happy now. Not to mention the harsh reality that Luceti still held its own dangers, between experiments, drafts, and certain captives.

After a few seconds, she'll nod slowly.]

You must have had a pretty hard life before.

I don't know. I don't remember it. But it must have been, otherwise he wouldn't have done this.

[A pause]

You should be reborn, too!

He?

[Amelia immediately frowns at the suggestion. She knows the kid means well, but certain things aren't going to happen.]

No thanks. I don't want to forget my life, even if it's a hard one.

Why not?

[Everyone has said this. They must have a reason but she doesn't understand. Why would they want a harder life?]

Why not forget the sad?

Because I wouldn't just forget the sad, right? I'd forget everything, even the people I love.

[The person. Her mom.]

Those memories are too important to me.

Well the good thing about forgetting is you don't remember what you forgot. [She pauses]

I don't mind it at all because now there is a lot of room for new memories. [It's like learning everything all over again but in a different way]
