weekend (lack-of) hijinx.
LSV: Got absolutely nothing done on the project this weekend. daubed at some artwork, but nothing impressive. Generally spent the my (very little) free time between work "contemplating" (Read as: doing as little as possible for as long as possible, this includes putting on clothes.)
The Nature of Perception: It came to my attention this weekend that I'm a synesthete. It only took me 31 years of living to figure that out. I guess because it's a bit of a subtle crossover of senses. I don't see sounds as flashes of color or anything overt like that. To me, sound is motion. I equate the exteroceptive sense of hearing with the interoceptive sense of proprioception, or more precisely, kinesthesia. Music literally moves me. When you think about it, that's a pretty amazing place to live in the world. It also explains my sometimes hyperkinetic tastes in music.
An Immodest Proposal: Well, I got one V day proposition this year from a somewhat surprising source. It creeped me the hell out. Her: "Come over to my place, You bring the sledge hammer and I'll be Kathy Bates. Damn, too creepy right?" Me: "I've had less sphincter clenching propositions, so yes.[it is too creepy]"
