i need to get a life

Well, it's official. I am now an Indiana University Graduate! (feel free to send gifts!) I don't think I have fully realized yet that I will not be going back to school next semester. That is probably because I did not go to graduation! Maybe I am a little sad to have missed it, but I am also glad that I had a good excuse not to go, a friend's wedding.

So, now I have this college degree, what do I do next? Well, lets see, four and a half years and $60,000 dollars later and I am trained for nothing! Job market, here I come! I really am trained for nothing, but I am making it sound worse than it is. I might be getting a job with Bloomington Parks and Recreation. It is just a clerical/customer service position, but it will be a good way to get my foot in door, support myself, and bide my time until I go to graduate school. I think that the interview is going to be sometime after Christmas, so I will let you know how it goes.

In other big news, as most of you already know, Michael and I are getting married next fall. Hopefully now that we have both graduated, we can devote more time to planning this shindig. I think it is going to be a pretty dope time, so you all should come. October 21st, be there or be square.

Other than planning what will be the best wedding of the year and working, I am not sure what I am going to fill my time with. Now that I have graduated, I feel like I have a lot of free time on my hands and I do not know what to do with it. I am done being a student, so no homework, and I am done with extracurricular activities, so no more club planning. I feel a little lost. Lately, I have realized that I am more of an activities person rather than a hobbies person, probably because I am not a very self-motivate person, so I need some new activities to do and be involved in. Or maybe I should find a hobby or both. Any suggestions? I will take them on both ends, activities or hobbies.

Also, I need some help being creative. Seriously, does anyone give lessons? I kind of set this goal that I would try to be and do creative thing over break and it is not working out so well. I made something for a friend, played around on the piano, played around on the drums and all these things looked and sounded like they were done by a third grader. But, the break is not over yet. I still have time to get the creative juices flowing.

So, this has been an excessively long update. But one more thing to add. I got contacts yesterday! Wahoo! No more four eyes! Ok, I think that is it.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Lj Buddies!

love,
jessica
