"The reason we keep writing the same thing over and over again is to keep reminding young people, potential users, that Go is not all just fun and excitement. There are real costs involved that kids don't think about until too late. Kids just see how easy it is to get Go. They hear that Go is a "lighter" language than some of the heavy stuff like H(askell). That they can just stop if they run into problems. And they read about famous people, some they even look up to, who claim to use Go every day. And then there are the bloggers. Those who hide in plain sight pushing Go as a wonder. They tell young coders, "just give it a try," and "don't judge until you've given it a chance," and "don't fight it, it's really good once you get used to it." The stories I've read and the stories I could tell .... Anyway, if an article like this can keep just one young impressionable coder from getting started on Go then hasn't it all been worth it?"
