Gaara had more or less run away from his office to actually get some work done without interuptions. He never minded when Botan popped in, of course, it was teh rest of the village he was hiding from.
His hidingplace of choise was teh roof of his home.
"Hmm?" He looked up from the report he was reading, his grip on it firm to keep it from being stolen by the wind.
She looks at him, and down at the paper in mock disgust. "It's a beautiful day, my lord! What are you doing reading boring ol' reports for?"
She places her hand under her chin, looking very much the part of a Cheshire cat. "I want you to go somewhere with me." A look, sparkling eyes and wibbling lips, that she knows works on everyone. "Please?"
Of course it works; he can never deny her anything. But that doesn'y mean he'll just give in right away. "Alas, my position demands it. At leats I'm out here rather than in my office. Where is it that yoyu want to go?"
Yeah, that'll about do the trick. He sets the report down and keepts it in place with his foot, freeing his arms to hold her. "Yes, I think I can. Do you want to go right away?"
"Yup! Just gimme a sec to get my things!" He gets a peck on the lips.
A few minutes later, she's all ready. She's got on a large traveling hat (where she gets these things, we don't know) and is carrying a large bag. Hum.
While she got her things, Gaara took teh time to return his report to his office and get his gourd. Because, you know, since she's not telling him where they're going and it doesn't hurt to be prepared.
She pushes a few buttons on the communicator. Oh, so they're going off world!
The world on the other side is the equivalent of a nature preserve. Trees, little brooks, and a large hill with jutting rocks take up the scenery. Little critters run across the grass and trees.
It certainly is pretty, and Gaara is happy to see Botan happy. And to be honest, even if he loves his village dearly, it's nice to see something different than sand every once in a while.
She bites her lip, and turns away for a moment. Then, out of her bag, she brings out a small box wrapped in white tissue paper and tied neatly with red string. She places it in his lap.
With the string untied and the paper torn off, Gaara can't help but to smile. "Very fitting," he says as he puts it on. "Thank you." And so, Botan gets pulled off her seat and onto Gaara's lap, and snogged silly.

Botan smiles broadly as the sun hits her.

It's not long before the reach a rock that juts out far enough to make a nice little cliff to sit on, and she does just that.

He sets his gourd down and leans on teh rock next to her. "You're right. It is beautiful."

She looks at him. "I picked it out just for you. When i saw it, I knew it was for you."
If he was to open the box, he would find a small hourglass necklace, made of gold on a thin chain. The sand inside is translucent.

Giving Gaara one last kiss, she speaks up from her perch in his lap. "I have another surprise for you."
