Looking away from his beloved village, his mind still spinning with possible plots and actions they could take, he fixes his eyes on Hinageshi. Very much in Kazekagi-mode at the moment, he might appear cold. He doesn't utter a word, but his look pretty much orders Hinageshi to go on.

The redhead girl nods, taking out a communicator much like the one Botan gave to Gaara. She puts it on a nearby table for all to view

For a moment Gaara just stands there, looking where the image had been, his hands clenched so tightly into fists that his arms are shaking and his short nails starts to bite into his palms.

"How the fuck do they know about the Akatsuki?!" Kankuro growls, slamming his hands dwon on the table. This snaps Gaara out from whatever unpleasant thoughts that occupied his mind.

"That's it. There's nothing we can do to stop an invasion. We need to think of the best way to face them."

"Hinageshi." Botan snaps. The aforementioned girl looks up. "What, Botan-san?"

"You and I will have to make a barrier. The Maikai Insects and the lesser demons won't be able to stand white magic." Botan has never, ever looked this angry before. "Tell me you have the Artifacts." She nods. "Good. We wouldn't want them to fall into the wrong hands. We'll put up wards, too."

Defensive plans. Good.

"Temari. We need to allers the other villages. Withe the Akatsuki involved, they won't be satisfied with just us. That means we won't stand alone and that we might be able to form alliances with more than just Konoha."

Back to Botan and Hinageshi. "I know that you have abilities that we don't. So I need to know exactly what you can do."

Temari nods. "That'll be enough to get them on board."

"We're basically baseline humans, but we do have the ability to heal, put up barriers, and our auras put out enough white magic to hold off very, very weak demons." Botan informs him.

"We also have a very strong spiritual awareness. We can see ghosts and apparitions most people cannot," Hinageshi pipes in.

"Which means that you will both be on defence, medical teams and possibly on look-out." He doesn't say it, doesn't even make a sign of it, but he's relieved. Botan won't have a reason to be on the front lines, but rather far behind it.

"Do you know of a way to contact Yuusuke and the others?"

Botan nods. She has different feelings. She wants to be out there with him, by his side.

"I couldn't get him and Hiei a little bit ago," Hinageshi confesses. "I'll keep trying."

Botan looks at Gaara, a painful, sad look. God, why did this have to happen? 'Please, don't let me lose him.'

Gaara catches that look and lets his mask slide slightly as he returns it. Just enough to send a silent "we'll get through this" her way. Then the blank mask goes back up.

"Temari. Get teh word out to teh other villages. Kankuro. I want the village on high alert as soon as possible. We don't know when they will strike, so lets assume they will do so quickly."

Temari nods, and then disappears.

Botan looks down. Then here resolved look comes back. "Come on, Hinageshi..let's make some-" She looks out the window, and the yells.

"That guy! I know that guy!" She points to a passersby. "It's that sleazy scalper from the Dark Tournament!"

Kankuro was just about to walk out the door, but he's at the window half a second after Gaara. They spot the man at the same time, and then both brothers are through the window and after him. Swirls of sand trail after Gaara as he falls, and bandages after Kankuro, who uses the fall-time to let Karasu loose.

One could almost pity the slease, having two enraged ninja after him, dead-set on a capture and quite certainly a beating.

Botan and Hinageshi look at each other and follow the boys, though instead of jumping taking the good ol' oar express.

The demon pervert is just that. He's a green, lizard sorta fellow with dank hair, and a worn out suit and hat. Basically, the guy who sleazes on girls at bars.

He has one look at the brothers and flails. "Whoa whoa! Don't kill me! I'm on you guy'z side!

That doesn't stop Kankuro from tackling the guy to the ground. Gaara's sand follows and captures him securely, and to top it all off, the clattering Karasu is hovering above with its poisioned needles a mere half inch away from the guy's neck.

"Talk," comes the hissed order from Gaara as the sand slowly tightens.

Botan and Hinageshi run over. The guy, despite being in a deadly situation, will not miss this chance to sleaze.

"Ohohoho, it's you, oh-so-beautiful friend of Koenma!" He grins. "You don't know how long I've been waiting to see you, dollface."

Botan turns green. "I can't say the feeling's mutual. What are you doing here? "

Wrong move. There's a low growl from Gaara and teh sand grows painfully tight. However, seeing that there's no danger here, at least not right now, Kankuro draws Karasu away and wraps it back up.

There's a single look exchanged between the brothers before Kankuro dashes off.

"Hey, hey! Bro, watch it! I won't put any more moves on your lady, I swear!"

Botan groans. "Do you have a purpose here, other than to scar me?"

He wriggles. "Yeah, I gotta message from that general of Mukuro-sama. The short one, ya know?"

Her eyes widen. "Hiei!" Hinageshi blushes. "Hiei-san!"

"Yep, now, babe, if you could sic your attack dog offa me, I could give ya this here message."
