The bags are packed. They aren't that many, only a duffel bag and a suitcase or two, along with a large, ancient leather bag filled with who knows what. The problem is getting the bags to their destination. Botan has been carrying the bags for a while now, to the rendezvous point in the Nexus where she was supposed to meet Gaara. She gingerly holds ( Read more... )

Lo and behold: there's Gaara, standing beside the large stone portal that leads to his world. Upon spotting Botan, he uncrosses his arms and goes to meet her. And relieve her from her burden, of course.

"Not too much stuff, see?" She smiles, shrugging her one of her suitcases into his arms. "Just things I couldn't part with."

"You do know that my house is large. You can bring more if you want to." He slings the suitcase over his back and pauses to give her a brief kiss before gesturing for her to hand her the other one.

"It's no big deal. Most of my stuff is junk, anyway." She hands him the other suitcase and sweeps her hair from her face. It's quite messy.

"They were biting at the bit to get rid of me back at the apartment. I think they've already rented out my room this quickly."

Gaara doers not protest her hair being messy. He actually quite like it that way.

"I asume that it's not strange that they don't want the apartment to be empty for long."

"It's not a bad thing. Though I'm surprised such a bad side of town would be popular. I suppose they didn't have the money to live someplace nicer."

Botan is positively bouncy about everything. You can almost hear the 'I'm gonna be living with my Gaara. YAY!'

"...that was a bad side of your town?"

Well, if she's that enthusiastic about it, isn't it best they got moving? So through the portal and straight to Gaara's quarters. Easy move, eh?

"Well, it wasn't the best neighbourhood.."

As soon as the get into his quarters, she places the bag at her feet. "No place like home, ne?" A warm smile.

He gives her a sideways look as he sets the bags down, the corners of his mouth tugging upwards. "Welcome home."

A big smile goes his way, and she begins to reveal the treasures, mostly from the leather sack. There are candles, a small statue of the Buddha, a crystal ball, several large leather bound books, and two pet habitats. One is a small portable fish tank, and the other contains a small hairless, yet cute, rat. Botan gushes.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to leave my babies in the dark for so long."

Gaara peers down into the sack, wondering if there's some sort of trickery afoot here. She fit all that in there? Amazing.

"Do you want any help unpacking? "

Being the grim reaper does have its perks.

She looks up from her gushing. "Sure. You can just unpack the suitcase. It's just clothes and things." She unpacks a few things from the duffel bag, such as personal memorabilia and feminine necessities.

"Lets just hope the wardrobe is large enough." Botan, you see what you've done with him? Gaara teasing? It's a sign of the apocalypse, I tell you!

It doesn't take long before her clothes are neatly folded up and put into the rather large wardrobe in the bedroom.

"Hey now. Never, ever tease a woman about her clothes collection." Her candles and pets have made their homes near a window and her personal items in the bathroom.

The Buddha, the books, and her mystical items still haven't found a good home yet.

"Oh? What would be the consequences of doing that?"

There are a fair share of bookcases around that would surely fit.

"I won't dress pretty for you." She bats her eyelashes, drawling her voice.

She sits her treasures on a nearby bookshelf. "I couldn't part with my crystal ball. How else can I tell fortunes?"
