Avengers: the Age of Ultron
It was fine.
The action was fun. The politics were all over the map. The character arcs felt half-baked. My favorite parts were the cameos of other characters from MCU-verse (Sam! Rhodey! Peggy!), which is never a good sign in a big tentpole movie.
I don't have any idea who Paul Bettany is supposed to be. I'm sure his character has a backstory and forty years of comic history behind him. I just... don't know any of it?
But hey, we now have an Avengers with two black guys and two white women on it. Progress?
