I do! In an ideal world where there are 48 hours in a day and very few of them are spent doing work, I'd post essays about other people's stories all the time. :) I'd rather write about why I love other fics than blather about my own (unless requested to), and I'd rather hear someone else's thoughts on my story than my own (ditto), and it'd be fun, I think, to see other people's reactions to other people's stories too. If that were something you'd be interested in including in the community.

We are! My only concern is the author might get upset if you don't tell them. But I'm game for it.

That sounds like a possibility! We were thinking blacklist instead of whitelist, but this could work too!

Seriously, pen and I are both open to the idea! It might need some rephrasing of some of the rules and FAQ and such, but I'd love to see reader commentaries as well. Those would also be awesome.

Yay! I'd be happy to start out with links to maybe this and this, posts by Queenzulu and me about the story she wrote for Remix Redux. It was a ton of fun to analyze, and as a bonus, it's a mix of author commentary and reader commentary, since she remixed my story and we both talk about our own as well as the other's fic.
