there's been a bit of a mixup with our rooms, but whatevs.
we wandered around the city all day, looking at street art and laneways and trams and cobblestones and extremely shitty beaches and melbourne-y things like that. i like this place.
i bought Blueline Medic's first album, so now i have all their LPs, even if i don't have their entire discography (i'm missing their split EPs with Midtown Ted Leo, and their first EP not put out as Caustic Soda).
am tired and sunburnt. Melbourne has a cold southerly blowing through it straight off the arctic though, i swear.
didn't bring my razor, i'm going to see how far my beard gets before i get home on thursday morning (it already had a few days' head start). back on thursday morning cos i'm seeing the Triffids' celebration of their dead frontman, Dave McComb, that night with my dad. hell, maybe i won't even shave before the show and we can both be beardy music nerds together. ha. (i mention this because usually the reason i don't grow a beard is cos my dad's always had one and i look a little too much like him for comfort with facial hair).
