Ahhhhh! The fluffiness is just.. Gah, it's so lovely. And the wonderful emotions and how they already acted like an old married couple was just super adorable! And Cara being vulnerable was so out of the ordinary and precious. So yeah, I totally loved this fic and all of its wonderful fluffiness. :3

Maw, thank you! I don't think I've ever really done fluff without porn, so this was an experience. Glad you liked it :D

FLUFF! Bless you! Thank you!
And this wasn't even on your already-established project list! Great job, and there were so many wonderful touches:
Xena is Kahlan's favorite show!!!
Dahlia
The interesting limbo of bisexuals in LGBT
The shunning of labels, and Kahlan's cute parody of Cara's preaching of same
SF same-sex marriages!
Kahlan realizes her truth - awww!
Fuzzy pink handcuffs!
"I do, too, you know" - mawww
"...uniting in matrimony Cara Mason and Kahlan Amnell" - gush!

A question, though. This section:
After a moment, Cara shifts awkwardly, her hands dropping to fidget with the belt loops of her jeans. She slips her cell phone out, looks at it for a second, then shoves it back into her pocket. There's something on her mind-there has been for a while now-and Kahlan hasn't been able to figure out what it is, the way she usually can with ease. Was there something more to this? Did Cara have other plans to get to? Expecting a call? Or was she just checking the time, curious how long Kahlan was going to keep her there witnessing ( ... )

:D Thank you! This whole thing was very entertaining for me to imagine and write, so I'm glad you enjoyed it.

In that section you referred to, it's not so much that Cara was expecting anyone or had any place to be, it was more a nervous fidgeting thing. Kahlan was leaning into her, and the sustained physical contact made it harder for her to ignore her deeper feelings for Kahlan. At least, that's what I was going for :/

Ah, okay. And for the record, Cara's deeper feelings definitely came through as you intended, from the initial tension of the couch and "I'm perfectly happy with my life the way it is", Cara's soft looks, the mix of courage and fragility that you described so well, her spoken/unspoken love, all so beautiful. I just got distracted by the cell phone. :P

Not sure if you meant "I'm perfectly happy with my life the way it is" to bring to mind Fried Green Tomatoes and Idgie saying "I'm as settled as I ever hope to be" but that's where my mind went.

Phew, okay, good:) It occurred to me that I could just know a lot of people who pull out their cell phones as a nervous habit (myself included)...it just seemed natural to me:P

I've only ever seen Fried Green Tomatoes once, which is a tragedy...but the sentiment probably fits:)
