why some people should not speak publicly...
we had a faculty meeting today, and there was an attendance and discipline representative there from the district office to talk about the problem that we are having with kids being out of class; I swear these were his exact words:
"When we find a student out of class, we violate them. Then, after they are violated, we send them back to class."
now I am pretty sure, at least I hope, he didn't mean this literally. what I think he meant is "we cite them with a violation," although, that would explain the mood of some of my kids when they get back to my class.
