why must I have options?

with everything that's been going on I had kinda put off thinking about my future...but now with the first day of my last semester staring me in the face it's on my mind again. I can't remember if I posted about it, and I'm quite frankly too lazy to go look, but I didn't get accepted by Teach for America, and I wasn't that broken up about it...I was never sure that I wanted to teach disadvantaged kids in a crap school district to begin with, so they probably made the right choice. but that defeat has opened up a whole arena of other options to consider, which is the last thing I need...why can't someone just tap me on the shoulder and say "hey, you, here is the ONE thing that you can do for a career," that would make things so much easier. so anyway, here are some of my options...

grad school: there is a program at CSULB to become a college counselor, this could be interesting and seems like something I would like.
teaching on an emergency cred: I can get a cred to teach English for 5 years while I work on my regular cred, or decide that this ain't for me.
substitute: I can substitute teach. it pays like $100 a day...
grant writer: I've always thought I'd be good at this, and I hear they can make decent money.
job at a newspaper: I could write or be an editor at a newspaper.
job in publications/marketing: I could prolly be a copy writer/editor for a marketing/ad agency.
job in customer service: with my experience and degree I could no doubt land a high-end management job.

There is also the option of moving somewhere else in CA, or even to another state and doing any of the above mentioned...I'm sure there's more, but this is all I've really pondered at this time...
