When the world started turning sour, Sabin went out from the dojo and followed his fellow student Vargas into the mountains. There he was reunited with his brother and their fates again converged as the apocalypse loomed. Sabin is very strong, having studied so intently for most of his young adulthood, and his loyalty to his friends is undying. Similar to Barret as far as the alignment with good and the strengh, you have one thing Barret lacks - faith. This makes you much more capable of self-reliance.
